CoRa Hub
Adds to strong connections in Corduff Raferagh community
The warmth that is part of the DNA in Corduff Raferagh Community Centre, extends to its hot desk and remote working Hub.
Just like the wide range of organisations and groups who make use of the centre, the CoRa Hub attracts companies and students as well as entrepreneurs and many hot desk users.
“We wanted to create an environment for everyone in the community and that includes the needs of local people who work remotely or can avail of hybrid working and those who work from home but need the option of a meeting room now and then,” said Bernie Ruth PRO for Corduff Raferagh Community Association.
“We provide an opportunity for anyone to bring their laptop, or use a computer here, connect to our facilities and make the best of the supportive working environment,” she added.
For a keen rate, there is guaranteed access to reliable broadband as well as kitchen facilities and you are surrounded by other equally important parts of a work life balance.
“You have a workplace environment and don’t have to travel to Dublin or Navan or Trim or get a bus. You don’t have distractions of life and yet you are only a few minutes away,” she added.
The conference room has been used by local companies. It has a large screen for remote calls and meetings.
Ciaran Marron, CEO and founder of Activ8 Solar Energies, is also the most recent EY Established Entrepreneur Of The Year.
He is also chair of the Corduff Gaels ladies club, a coach and an active member of the local community.
With over 200 employees, he appreciates the significance of having access to the Hub. “It is fantastic for any community to have it, especially our own. We have used the Hub facilities a number of times for example for additional meetings when we needed the extra space.”
“It is essential for any business to have stable connectivity. The set up here in CoRa is fantastic not only for meetings and leadership training but also the facilities to promote hot desks.”
“I am confident in the security and privacy available here and to know you can offer that through a hybrid secure environment whether for groups or individuals, is an asset for any business.”
He believes that being able to offer hybrid working “improves recruitment and will get better candidates. I also feel it is more practical than working from home and we find it is nice to have a couple of staff working in the same Hub. Wellbeing and mental health are so important and hybrid working means you get to meet other people too – that cup of coffee and chat is crucial.”
The hot desks are popular with students looking to get their homework done after school or who need the quiet space for studying.
